You are absolutely right, except for one thing; Akin did NOT ay something stupid, and it wasn't a gaffe. He articulated a point of a certain type of rape---legitimate rape---not a fabrication of some slit who changed her mind after the fact. I understand exactly what Akin said and it is time conservatives defend him and his choice of words. You can either stand with champions or run with cowards like whipped dogs.
