In response to:

President's Power of Pardon

Not a bad article, until you said this, "Nunn never brought up the subject of race. She is black, like so many other victims of the federal system's oversize boot." So, Blacks are "victims" of the federal system? What about the kids who were given drugs by Nunn? How many lives did she destroy before being caught. And why did she refuse to testify against her low-life boyfriend? She should still be in prison for the pain and suffering she caused. As for pardons, maybe the treasonous Liar can pardon himself for his Jihad on America.

People involved in the drug trade are all willing participants, Where do you get your information - from some 70's era After-School special?

Why does your love of freedom not extend to people who choose intoxicants that happen not to be PC, but are less harmful than booze? If you've ever smoked pot - you know that's true.

And you think it's good to rat out your friends and family? I have far more respect for this woman than I do for you.

It amazes me that any poster on TH would imagine that their respect or lack of it is of significance to another poster.

It amazes me that any poster would take the time to make such an inane comment.

It amazes ME that you can't tell the difference between telling someone you don't have respect for them, and CARING whether or not that bothers them.

Um....libbie shill.....so the participation of this convicted felon in a drug deal involving an attempt to PURCHASE 20 KILOS OF COCAINE is somehow mitigated by your childish reference to "smoking pot?"

Are you SURE you're out of your teens, and have graduated high school? (Half credit for a GED, if you went that route!)

There were 800K arrests for MJ in 2011. Those with quantities will end up doing hard time, often more than convicted murderers.

By the way - I'm far more intelligent than you are, as anyone can plainly see. I have no need to resort to childish taunts and insults. I merely let my superior arguments and intellect beat you like a back-sassin' wife.

Yep, no insults in your posts - it's not as if you referenced a "back-sassin' wife."

You were enlisted - so no college degree. You're certainly NOT well-educated, or informed. Your insecurity in having to assert this is quite evident. I feel sorry for you, but also contempt for you.

And, BTW - you've made ANOTHER huge assertion, sans evidence of any sort. Go ahead - document how those arrested for marijuana "often" do more hard time than do murderers.

STILL waiting for one shred of evidence to support your libbie blather. Waiting....waiting....waiting....

I didn't call you a back-sassin' wife, or any other name. I simply used my superior wit to come up with a humorous comeback.

Here's a guy who got life for MJ - http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2011/05/fourth_marijuana_conviction_ge.html

In my hometown, a convicted, admitted murderer just got 8 years.

President Bill Clinton used his presidential pardon power in July 2000 to commute the sentence of Serena Nunn, who was sentenced to 15 years for a first-time nonviolent drug offense when she was 19. The pardon shaved three years off Nunn's sentence. Nunn told me over the phone, "I thought then that it was a great thing that a president used his power to help an average person."

Nunn later graduated from college and then the University of Michigan Law School. Last month, having passed a character fitness test, Nunn passed the Georgia bar. On Monday, she will be sworn in as...
