First, I must say that I am a public sector employee. I am not a union member and have managed to avoid being in unions my entire career. Second, our founding fathers considered public employees should be the best and brightest the country had to offer. They [founders] would certainly frown on public sector unions and all the problems they bring - inefficiencies, artificially inflated wages and, more importantly, the usurption of the power of the elected and appointed officials who represent the citizens - ALL the citizens - not just the few public SERVANTS. Pledge is a good word but covenant would have been better. Covenants are more serious and sacred than pledges. Covenants have dire consequences when broken (see ancient Israel) while pledges have relatively inconsequential consequences when broken (see Clinton, Obama, Pelosi, et al)
Rather than try to find the snitch website I'll go ahead and state for the record that I am opposed to Obamacare. Now, I find it very offensive that government officials are spying on it citizens. Does anyone remeber the McCarthy-era stuff? You know, trumped up communism charges? Now real evidence in a majority of cases and lives ruined? Who was President? Oh yeah, Truman - a Democrat and a "progressive"! Seems very similar to today doesn't it?
