I like Newt...but he has said some nutty things that call into question his dedication to conservative principles. To paraphrase Ronaldus Magnus...we need bold contrasts not pale pastels. I will listen to what Newt has to say and if his message is a conservative one then he may get my vote, but right now the only person with the sort of conservative credentials and authentic personality that will get my vote is Sarah Palin. If Romney and Newt come off as the least bit nuanced or contrived the american voter will reject them....we've had quite enough of that with the current regime.

Although I agree that marriage is the preferred instituition, women have allowed the marketing people to sell them on the "fairy princess" dillusion. What young man can afford 3-4 months salary recommended to purchase a engagement ring? For me that would be a $16K ring...not happening. There is one unexplored advantage to the Right Honorable John McCain being defeated in his bid to reelection to the Senate....we would not have to endure another embarrassing run for president.
