I like Newt...but he has said some nutty things that call into question his dedication to conservative principles. To paraphrase Ronaldus Magnus...we need bold contrasts not pale pastels. I will listen to what Newt has to say and if his message is a conservative one then he may get my vote, but right now the only person with the sort of conservative credentials and authentic personality that will get my vote is Sarah Palin. If Romney and Newt come off as the least bit nuanced or contrived the american voter will reject them....we've had quite enough of that with the current regime.

Although I agree that marriage is the preferred instituition, women have allowed the marketing people to sell them on the "fairy princess" dillusion. What young man can afford 3-4 months salary recommended to purchase a engagement ring? For me that would be a $16K ring...not happening. Compound that with the fact that women are now keeping these rings when they decide it's not going to work out as a momento. There are women who have several engagement rings and feel no shame they they are keeping the real property of a young man who is still paying it off. Then we have the $1+K dress that is worn once and then gets bagged up and put in the closet. Then you have the cost of a fairytale wedding and the cost of the dream honeymoon. It is...
Dems are already spinning this as a failure to articulate thier message properly to the people! Are they serious? Mass elects the first Republican to the Senate in nearly 50 years and they blame it on lack of propaganda?? The Progressives are already tipping thier hand as they plan to go ahead with thier agenda even though it will cost the Dems dearly in the next election. Progressive give a sh*t about the Democrat party, they care about forwarding thier socialist agenda by any means and at any cost. They never rest and they never stop trying to advance the cause of socialism. If they lose the House/ Senate and White House but get Universal Healthcare...in the mind of Progressives they just made a step forward in thier ultimate goal of...
There is one unexplored advantage to the Right Honorable John McCain being defeated in his bid to reelection to the Senate....we would not have to endure another embarrassing run for president. He would no doubt pull out all the stops on the "Straight Talk Express" and make every hypocritical effort to appear as a real conservative. Say hi to Bob Dole for me John.

The War Over America's Past

After reading Ann Coulter's book, "Treason" and Stanton Evens' book, "Blacklisted by History", I came to the exact same conclusions Pat did; McCarthy was not attacked and demonized because he was wrong about communist activity in America...but because he was right. Watergate was Nixon's punishment for his role in exposing the depth of communist infiltration to the American public with the "Pumpkin Papers". The M.O. of the left is the same today as it was in McCarthy's day; isolate, polarize and demonize anyone who stands thin thier way. The left with thier accomplices in the media have added a new wrinkle to the playbook...ignore completely. This is why you hear nearly nothing in the MSM about Glen Beck....they are trying to isolate and...
