That is not the issue at all. The issue is the gov't mandating what we can eat, etc........ And please get off all the rich people are Republican. That makes you sound stupid and more jealous than you claim MM to be. If you can't get rich in the USA you can't get rich anywhere. Conservatives want the the gov't. to back off and have citizens be responsible for themselves.

I had the same response from a coworker of mine about 18 years ago. I told her my 6 month old son (now 18) couldn't live without help either. We are still friends but the subject of abortion doesn't come up any more. As with most liberal positions it is all about "don't tell me what to do because I do not have to be responsible for my actions."

I had a good laugh when another teacher at our school said to me. "I was just talking to another teacher and they told me you were a Republican. You are so nice I could not believe it." I give her crap about it all the time now. In a nice way, of course.

He mingled at the Iowa State Fair and I got a chance to talk to him. While he is not number one on my list I would MUCH rather have him that BHO. We also need to elect a majority in the house and senate to keep liberals and RINOS in check.

I deal with cell phones in class daily. Our administrative team wants us to give them a chance to use their electronics during classwork. I say we jam all their signals. Last week a girl was on her phone during some group work. I told her to put it away and she said "but its my mom." I went berserk and yelled out " I don't care if its Barack Obama, get off the phone." Parents call their kids during class, it blows my mind.

The saying is "'don't argue with idiots, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience" Not always true but sometimes its best to leave them in their ignorance. Trying to convince them of their ignorance is like trying to teach a pig to sing. It is a waste of your time and it annoys the pig.

As a teacher of 30 years in an urban school I can tell you that family is of great importance to the success of students.
