No, it is the liberals who have a documented record of tossing aside the amendments they don't like. Particularly the 1st and 4th.

to Bigdogwhoneedsbackonthechain: Its funny.. i feel exactly 180 degrees opposite. Ive been subjected to conservative arrogance and destestation for 30 years. I'm sick and tired of the holier than thou bible thumpers trying to tell me how to think as they screw up the country. IIRC, those 30 years were more conservatives in charge of things than liberals. And really? you dont think theres a record of conservatives attacking people in the street for how they think or how they pursue happiness. So there we have more in common than you'd think. But to consider other Americans as vermin and fantasize about their mass extinction is beyond the pall. That attitude is how evil is spread. Americans are better than that.

And i rest my case. You blame some imaginary creation in your own mind for all your short comings and all the problems that exist. Incapable of taking responsibility for yourself. you freely admit that you would take joy at exterminating half the country because they dont think just like you do. its folks like you who make my ancestors who actually fought in our country's revolution roll over in their graves. I figured from the start that you were just another internet tough guy. I feel sorry for you.

"You're", not "your. "

Who is it who regularly shouts down, pies or glitter bombs speakers at universities with whom they disagree?

Who is it who rounds up student newspapers and destroys them for containing articles they don't like?

Who is it who assaults people and does things like beat a man in a wheelchair, bite a person's finger off, or destroy a hot dog cart for expressing a viewpoint they don't like?

Was it a liberal or a conservative who said "global warming deniers should be put to death."?

I could continue all day, but if you don't get the point by now, you aren't going to.

LIB PAT...your fundamental skills in punctuation and grammar do not lend credence to your assertions. There is a difference between its and it's. Putting that aside, care to enumerate who "... those of your ilk have done to diminish freedom in this great country" actually ARE? Care to enumerate said freedoms? A simple verbal drive-by shooting is NOT a persuasive argument. Take the contrary; what have O'TRAUMA, Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, Clinton and Clinton done...to "INCREASE liberty?

You have five minutes.

I have been subjected to liberal arrogance and detestation for 30 years. I am sick and damn tired of the self-appointed elites trying to tell me what I think as they screw up the country. Further, it took liberals 10 minutes to throw out federal law and the 4th Amendment and publish the names of gun owners in new york. Liberals also have a documented record of attacking people in the street for speaking their mind as protected by the Constitution. I see liberals as a vermin in need of removal, and they can drop dead for all I care.

Keep on keepin on.. living in your little bubble, i hope its nice and comfy in there. If its that easy for you to ignore what those of your ilk have done to diminish freedom in this great country, theres nothing i can say to enlighten you. Ive read your other comments, your quick to denigrate your fellow Americans.

Precisely. I wish Liberal Patriot had given an example so we could have some real discussion. Most likely, like most liberals he doesn't understand conservatism or either of those amendments.
Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., shootings, said: "The British are not coming. ... We don't need all these guns to kill people." Lewis' vision, shared by many, represents a gross ignorance of why the framers of the Constitution gave us the Second Amendment. How about a few quotes from the period and you decide whether our Founding Fathers harbored a fear of foreign tyrants.

Alexander Hamilton: "The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed," adding later, "If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is...
