I bought a 1989 Caprice brand new in August of that year and drove it until April 2005, when it was wrecked. At the time of the accident, that magnificent beast was in top operating condition, due to my regular maintenance.

Bigdig-I've never gotten a bad GM product in 30 years. I drive the wheels off of them and have never been stranded because of car trouble. I kept my 2005 Malibu when I bought my Buick because, even though it has 205K miles on it, it runs great and has never given me any trouble, so I'm giving it to my granddaughter who will be 16 in May. I always feel like I got my money's worth with my GM vehicles. My husband's last truck had over 300K miles when we traded it in and a third of those were pulling a fifth wheel. They used to be a great company-I hope Obama hasn't ruined them.

I started with a 2004 Silverado, traded it for a 2008 Texas Edition, and traded that for a 2011 Silverado All Star Package 4x4 Z71 Crew Cab. My wife now drives a 2009 Suburban.

P.S. When I drove my Caprice in GERMANY....for 3 years, I once outran the Polizei in their BMW 3-series. They only caught me because of a traffic signal.

No. A knucklehead in an American car pulled out in front of my wife, permanently injuring her. The final act of the Caprice was saving her life. You have a nice day.

BigDog-I have to admit that I haven't been able to give up my addiction to GM (I have a good friend and neighbor who's a GM master mechanic and he takes care of them for me). I have a couple of Chev Malibus that I put over 200K miles on without any major repairs and I just bought a 2012 Buick LaCrosse that I absolutely love. My husband only drives Chev trucks and he has a 4 door Chev 3/4 Ton Silverado dieslel for pulling a fifth wheel-this is his 5th Chev truck and we've never had any problems with any of them. I really resend Obama messing up GM.

Perhaps your wreck came as a result of the horrible handling of american cars ?
German cars handle so much better a comparison is impossible.

Yesterday we brought you news of union members in Michigan becoming violent against conservatives. First, there was the tearing down of a large Americans for Prosperity tent while women and elderly people were inside and then conservative activist Steven Crowder was punched in the face four times and threatened with murder. Now, straight out the Saul Alinsky playbook, the Left, the Teamsters Union and MSNBC's Ed Schultz are accusing AFP of tearing down their own tent down and are accusing Crowder of provoking union workers to attack him. The Teamsters have gone so far as saying the protest...
