"So far this year the company has sold around 13,000 Volts, compared to the 60,000 unit goal that they set at the beginning of the year" Substitute "wheat" for "volts" and you could run this as a 1970s Soviet annual statement about Soviet wheat production. Gov Motors should change to Soviet Motors so that there is no question how this is going to turn out.

I work with a Russian engineer, now US citizen, that said he is becoming very concerned for the U.S. He has been there before and has a view point. He thought he was safe, but no, "Progressives" have gained such power that we are going to try what Russia and China tried, rejected and have moved on to capitalism. May be time to move.....

"May be time to move"...Better we should find a way to move obama the commie clown out of the WH that he wasn't fit to live in in the first place. This guy is getting a pass while he systematically destroys the energy infrastructure of this nation..the question becomes why? Are the R's stupid? Are they in on the plan? I say they are cowards, afraid of the race card and the riots. He is impeachable over Benghazi...DO it! I don't trust this election to have been honest, do we REALLY have that many stupid people in this country?

The zero is only a symptom of the problem as demonstrated by the number of morons that voted to re-elect the zero. To 'fix' the US, you would need to get rid of almost half the population. Unfortunately, we are going to have to let Darwinian methods work and when civilization comes crashing down, the unarmed leftists will be on the short end of 'evolution'.

They sold almost as many Volts as they did Aztecs. The goal there was 70,000. They sold 14,000. (I think the real goal was 17,000 and they were just mis-quoted.)

And, they come with built in defects that cause them to go up in flames. Sounds like the same folks that ran Soviet co-ops now run GM. Who says history doesn't repeat itself?

A Congressional Budget Office report released in the fall tells Obama what the rest of us have known for some time: Your bet on electric cars wasn’t an investment, but a gamble; a dumb gamble.

And now you’ve just come up snake eyes.

“Despite the federal government pumping $7.5 billion into the electric vehicle industry in the United States through 2019,” writes the CSMonitor.com, “overall national gasoline consumption is unlikely to be significantly affected, according to a report released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).”

The CBO says that even if Obama increased the amount of the subsidy, it...
