Thanks for setting the record straight, I hadn't heard of the incident, so when it was mentioned out of context I wanted to know the facts.
The point I was trying to make was, did this Officer Barrett say it directly to Mr. Gates, no he didn't, and that's what I was trying to get too. I have friends who call me an Uncle Tom all the time, most of them do it behind my back because usually when they say it to my face that's when the serious discussion begins and they can't deal with reason, they usually end up threatening to kick my butt which most of them know could be a daunting prospect for them, seeing as I work out at least 3 times a week, and even though I have a big belly, (thanks to Foster's oil cans) and was in the Navy we end...

Rick Sanchez, a CNN anchor, provoked a tempest in a Twitter this week when he said he'd be a rich guy if he "sold out as hispanic and worked at fox news." The commentary on the episode mostly centered on whether working at Fox News Channel constituted "selling out," with left-wing bloggers defending Sanchez and conservatives weighing in on Fox's behalf. But the real outrage in Sanchez's statement isn't what he implied about Fox News; it's the whole idea that an individual is capable of "selling out" others who happen to share his race or ethnicity.
