Three words: "Reid v. Covert" According to SCOTUS precedent from 1957, no treaty can supercede the U.S. Constitution, despite the Supremecy Clause's designation of authority to treaties. If a treaty conflicts with fundamental civil rights guaranteed in the Constitution, such provisions contained therein are null and void.

At this time the top law enforcement official in the country picks and chooses which laws he will enforce

They've jammed that up also. The UN treaties are effective with the signature until voted down by our Senate. They did this with the Vienna Convention in 1969. So if he's signed it, it's going to be implemented. Harry Reid won't bring it to the floor for a vote. http://untreaty.un.org/ilc/texts/instruments/english/conventions/1_1_1969.pdf

Roberts will rule that it is a tax and will be perfectly legal because Obama witll have had it photocopied in the House of Representatives, signed that photocopy and, therefore, it will have originated in the House as requrired of all taxes. SCOTUS is pretty much worthless.

Except that it takes JUDGES to rule on that, and FEDGOV's "Justice" Department to enforce it.

Guess who runs Justice? Guess who gets to nominate new SCOTUS and Federal judges?

Since it is precedent, it is settled law. Stare decisis will prevent any meddling with it.

"precedent","settled law" or not,if FEDGOV decides they are not going to enforce it,then violators get away with their lawbreaking,or bad laws enacted by Congress stand.
Like the 1934 NFA,1968 GCA,Obamacare,etc.

Welcome to President Obama's second term, America - that special place where ridiculousness replaces raison d'etre, and presidents give us things like gun control a' la United Nations.

Obviously, Obama understood he would never get the support needed for a gun control bill from Congress, so the astute Constitutional professor chose to skirt around the Constitution by signing on to the United Nations (UN) Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) shortly after his re-election. Liberals certainly know how to get what they want, ethics aside. Remember in 2010, when former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi described how liberals would circumvent the electorate...
