To fix the country, you'd have to overthrow every Federal program that violates the Constitution - Including Social Security and Medicare, agricultural subsidies, corn-to-alcohol subsidies, HHS, Education, etc., etc. Nevah hoppen! The teat-suckers are clamped on too tight.

The gov't is supposed to protect the environment and then proudly pushes environmentally destructive programs such as Flood Insurance. I agree, it's stupid.
