To finish up with the sunset law - It would require a super-majority (either 60% or 2/3rds) to renew a sunset law. There is one exception to the term limits and benefits - the president stays the way it is. Electable for two terms of four years and as president he or she is entitled to permanent benefits for life for their service. Some other things that would help would be a balanced budget amendment (I know beating a dead horse here - but it should be done). Reduce the maximum salary of ALL government employees to not more than 150% of the average income in America. Individuals should not work in the government to become rich but to serve the American people. If you want to become rich, work hard and create something you can sell.

Just thought of one more - ALL laws have a sunset provision. I would suggest no more than four years with a preference for two

Mr. Reagan, I think your father was the greatest president of the 20th century and I am glad you are following in his footsteps but you missed the boat on this one. The blame falls on the American people for not keeping watch over our "public servants". It is time for us to take back our government at all levels. There are three things that would go a long way to solving this nation's problems for the long term. 1. Put term limits on all public offices except the judiciary. My preference would be no more than 6 years. Two years to learn the ropes, two years to work hard, and two years to mentor the young ones. This would allow individuals to SERVE the people without becoming totally corrupted by the system. It would also force people to ha
