Oh, I know!: he's going to win Minnesota and Pennsylvania!

Right. So California and New York and Illinois and Washington and Oregon and Massachusetts and Vermont and New Hampshire and Maine and Connecticut and Rhode Island and New Jersey and Pennsylvania and Delaware and Maryland and Minnesota and Michigan and New Mexico will all be going red on Tuesday? Is there any reason for anyone to take anything you say seriously?

These polls were published yesterday. On what basis do you conclude that they are all "garbage formulated"? I know: on the basis that they show Obama winning when you know a priori that that cannot be. Do I have all that right?

The source of the data in that chart is every swing state poll published yesterday. But lemme guess: they're all biased and Romney is really winning.

This article and thread make clear that Republicans will never join the reality-based community. I mean look at it: you don't like the facts, so you proclaim them out of existence. Same thing your boys in congress did with the non-partisan Congressional Research Service report: you don't like the facts, suppress and ignore them! Same thing you do with global warming. Of course you're only following the Bush/Cheney lead here. What was it Cheney said: "we create our own reality." Well, guess again.

This whole thread smacks of whistling past the graveyard. It has the acrid stench of desperation all over it. But I empathize. I know what it's like to hope against hope that the polls are all wrong. I was in that position in 2004. But what I didn't do was turn that hope into certainty that the polls must be wrong. Learn to take your lumps. And how about urging your representatives to put the country first and see how they might work with Obama in his second term?
