When I Want a Progressive’s Opinion on What Guns I Should Have/Hunt with, I’ll Give it to Them

If we talk about need, we certainly do not "need" a 240 mpn Lamborghini. If we are going to ban things like "assault weapons" because they look like military equipment, then we should ban Hummers and Hummer 2 vehicles. Interesting how celebrities want to ban "military equipment" and yet, they were among the first to buy the civilian version of the HumVee. If I recall, Schwarzenegger bought the first one available and it cost well over $100,000. Today they make shootem-up movies that make them millions. In them, they have FULLY automatic weapons and yet they want me to give up my "scary" hunting rifle. Sometime, look at a picture of the white house. There is more firepower on the roof than in my local National Guard Armory. Hipocracy

Look, as tempting as it is to make the comparison between high end weapons and high end cars, its not a good one. Namely because a high end car has an express design purpose that isn't killing people. Yeah cars kill people, and lots of them. They are inherently dangerous hence why to drive you you have to receive a license from the state and register the vehicle.
No intelligent person wants to ban assault weapons because they look scary. Any action on assault weapons (for the record I don't support any bans, merely dialogue discussing these weapons) is because they are dangerous weapons whose express purpose is to kill people as efficiently possible. For whatever reason you own it, that's what an assault weapon is for. That is what it is

that "designed to kill" blather is NONSENSE.
we're discussing MILITIA weapons, their purpose IS to kill in battle.
to kill in self-defense,defense of the nation OR our Constitution.

read the Declaration of Independence. there's the reason there's a Second Amendment.

Or, Video games representative of Military conflicts.

Or, Assault weapons in Hollywood Movies (see how many will show up to watch people carrying wooden guns with corks in the barrels).

And for gosh sakes, let's stop putting violent words like "Ram" on the side of trucks.

If it weren't for double-standards left-libs would have no standards at all.
My buddy, Green Beret badass Bryan Sikes, shot a massive whitetail buck last week during our South Texas Purple Heart Adventure. He whacked said muy grande with a LaRue Tactical OBR chambered for the glorious .308 Win. round. Oh and BTW, Sikes used a high capacity magazine during this hunt.

For those of you who aren’t hip to the LaRue, it is a weapon that progressive darlings say we should not have because we don’t “need” such a weapon for hunting.

Hunting, according to these wizards of odd, is what they think our founding fathers had in mind when...
