I was heartbroken when I heard that Obama was re-elected and that the senate remained controlled by Democrats. I believe that this will be the end of the USA as we know it; but I have since looked through my spiritual eyes and remembered that God is in control. There is a reason He has allowed the United States to commit political suicide. I thought about prophecy concerning the one-world (the Beast) system, and thought maybe the time is closer than we think. The United States is too powerful to fit into a one-world system on an equal basis; it would need to be taken down a peg or two. And, the one-worlders in our country’s political leadership are only too happy to do it. After all, they are citizens of the world.

I always was more in Christ than America, but can say that America is finished as a great power...our moral foundation upon which our system of government was built has crumbled. The great experiment is over, the tyrants won.

It is in the character of the people that will determine if the nation will succeed or fail, for they elect their leaders and the leaders elected will reflect the character of the people as a whole.

Mr. Andrews, Sir, you have correctly stated that the election will not change much as we will still have the same problems we have today on 7 NOV. I had never heard of the Tytler Circle, but I do know the biblical pattern to the fall of a great nation. First the nation is faithful but in bondage/poor; second the nation is freed and prosperity follows; next, the nation becomes arrogant and forgets its humble beginnings and WHO blessed them throughout their history; next comes complacency and sin in all its forms; lastly, sin destroys the great nation. As the good book States: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

Obama Versus Obama

I, personally, wish it were possible to reset our government. I fear we are on a course to have a dictatorship in the land of the free. If Obama is allowed to get away with this behavior he is just one of many who have push a wedge in the door to let a dictatorship arise in the USA. And it will be the fault of We The People for letting it happen.

The truth is there is too much power in the Executive Branch. Congress just doesn’t guard their appointed powers with enough jealousy. If a President acts contrary to the Constitution, what is Congress going to do? Power of the purse apparently isn’t enough to stop the branch of government that has complete control over the federal bureaucracy, especially if one House of congress is controlled by the Presidents party and they support his policies. What of impeachment? Forget it; we’ll never get a conviction as long as party politics rule the day.
amonk7, was Jesus really tolerant? Maybe I need to read the gospels again because I thought he was forgiving of sins not tolerant of the beliefs of others (which leads to hell; sorry, I believe this otherwise why be a Christian). It is also funny that you would add universal health care and immigration reform as aspects of a Christian nation. It sounds like you are a person who has turned away from God and now looks to government for prosperity. I recommend you read Chapters 27 & 28 in Deuteronomy.
