I'm sure Mr. Benson is a fine talk show host; good at what he does, but this is a live radio show we're talking about here. He wasn't at the conference in question, nor were any of his people. That can be surmised by the fact that he used FoxNEWS coverage of the event instead of first person coverage by one of his people. How would he have found a "whackjob" to interview on his program? I'm interested to know. Also, you apparently feel that Mr. Benson is a fantastic actor and could make a living in Hollywood. Based only on my reading of the transcript, Mr. Benson appears to be coming up with his questions, and rerouting the conversation on the fly. I get no hint of premeditation. I wonder where you found it?
I guess, if she is the nominee, we'll just have to wait and see who is actually in the majority. I notice you didn't deny that the majority don't want what the Democrats in Washington want. It's getting harder to find a majority who want even what the Democrats SAY they want. My implication is, of course, that what Democrats say they want and what they really want are generally two different things. That isn't to say that there aren't some decent folks on the Democratic side in Washington. I believe that there are. They're simply forced to vote with the leadership on everything. And why is the leadership the leadership? In other words, how did these sorry people get selected to lead the House and Senate? Maybe the rank and file Dems...
Sarah, and I feel very comfortable calling her Sarah, understands the difference between right and wrong. Someone here derisively described her outlook as "black and white." I agree with the fact of that statement. I believe she has a very firm grasp of what is right and what is wrong, and I believe she strives to do what is right. That is why she would be a great president. Compare that to Obama, who only equivocates on right and wrong. I don't say that he has no beliefs, only that he knows his beliefs are far outside of the mainstream and, therefore, he is wont to vocalize them. This is the way he handles his political aims, as well. We're told, by Obama, that health care reform is a must, that the system is broken, but, even on his...

between conservative and "neo-conservative?" First of all, I don't know that I've ever seen a definition of neo-conservatism, so I don't really understand what it is supposed to mean. One is either a conservative or not. This may be judged by one's statements, but more accurately by one's actions. So, I don't understand the need for an addition to the lexicon. However, based on my understanding of what is being described in the comments here as neo-conservative, I would have to say that I fall somewhere in between. I have always considered myself a conservative, but I'm not a libertarian. I would describe a libertarian as an extreme conservative, politically speaking, but I'm not one who believes we necessarily need to cut ourselves off...
