The reason why Bush II wasn't there is because the GOP are embarrassed at the damage he did to the country and how he is regarded so poorly. Yet Bill would probably win this election if he could run.

Well the founding fathers were strong in their belief that there should be a fully separation of Church and State and "the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion". So yeah, I think they'd fully endorse a major political party removing religious references from their platform.
Well I got this from google: Selfish: "Concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure." I think this was evidenced by Senator McConnell's comments in 2010: "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term President.” You'd think that the 'single most important thing" a Congress member would want to achieve is better outcomes for the American people. And lets not even get into the whole debt-ceiling debacle where Republican obstructionism agitated an already serious issue and was a serious factor in the credit rating downgrade. But hey, at least they scored some political points at the expense of the American people!

But why the disparity? When the media referred to "George Bush" I knew they were talking about George Walker Bush, the president at the time. Similarly, when I hear "Barack Obama" I know they are referring to President Barack Hussein Obama. But why do the right-wing media feel it necessary to include his middle name? It wasn't common for mundane, daily news articles to say "William Jefferson Clinton" or "Ronald Wilson Reagan" when talking about the days events. Why does the right wing media feel it necessary to include President Obama's middle name so frequently and unnecessarily when they haven't done so for other presidents? It's really confusing
OMG that is the graspiest grasp at a straw I have ever seen.
The Republicans actually worked with other members of Congress and occasionally compromised back in Bill's day. Since the party went crazy in the 2000s they've gone into destructive, selfish mode.
It's funny. During the whole George Bush II presidency I heard him referred to as "George Walker Bush" only a handful of times. Yet with Barack Obama every right wing news site and blog refers to him as "Barack Hussein Obama" very often. Why is that?
Was Michelle Obama expected to delve into specific economic policy? Ann Romney's speech was light on specific economic detail as well... Also, Bill was wheeled in because: 1) he's popular, 2) good at speeches and 3) has a good economic record. Such a shame that there's no former GOP presidents who people actually respect and care what they say. Actually, from looking at the RNC it would seem that GWHB and GWB have been sucked into some sort of black hole.
