"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God" Matthew 19:24 Ann Romney seems like a nice lady but I hope her and her husband donate 99% of their wealth to charity or they will be not allowed in heaven but will instead go to HELL! Jesus wanted us all to live in modest means with no luxuries and to give everything else to the poor and needy as to love your fellow man is to love God! Mitt seems like a reasonable man but I don't think Jesus would be happy that he is worth $200m+ and there are still starving and sick people in the world. My prayers are with him God bless

First, it is she and her husband, not her and... Been sleeping in literature class or heads in the clouds?
And how much have the Obamas donated of their wealth to charity?
Guess we'll be seeing all of them in hell as well.

believersss and Dbeaux,

Stop the tag-teaming psuedo-Christian BS. You keep posting the same nonsense to virtually every column, and I'm sick of the nonsense.

Christ also kicked the butts of all the phony money-changers, and I suspect you're both dupes of George Soros.
Dbeaux30 Wrote: Sep 02, 2012 4:51 PM
Please explain why I should not defend Ann from an idiot quoting scripture with scripture? Did you even read what I wrote? What does the scriptures you quote have to do with anything? Are you calling Ann or Mitt a money changer in need of a butt kicking? It is ok for you to use pseudo-christian bs but not anyone else, right?

Your salvation does not hinge on your wealth, or lack of it. Your salvation can not be bought, earned. or won by your is a gift from God through his Holy Son Lord Jesus Christ less any man should boast.
Floyd35 Wrote: Sep 02, 2012 1:00 PM
Poor people will go to hell just like rich ones. Both can go to heaven if they repent and accept Christ as their savior. He is the door and no man can come before the father except through him.
Floyd35 Wrote: Sep 02, 2012 1:04 PM
Obama said there were many paths to heaven when asked during an interveiw. There is not! He also said Christ was a good man, perhaps a prophet. He did not acknowledge him as the son of God and the risen savior of the world. This means Obama is LOST and on his way to hell. Unless he repents he will spend eternity in hell. Don't follow after him, he is not a man of God!

I suspect with such a pronouncement beliversss, that would include the mega Rich Pastors from the Mega Churches so prominently found amongst so many of the Protestant faiths? Further more, what makes you think that the millions Mitt donates to his Church and other charities haven't gone to those that are still starving and sick in the world? I know for a fact what the LDS church does with those funds, but there is a commandment that advise against being prideful and boastful. But thank you anyway for praying for Mitt, and hopefully your prayers are for this country too!

Flagged as spam. Same junk is on another thread. Interesting new tactics for the trolls...trying to interpret the Bible. Give it are no good at it.

What is the "eye of a needle". Do you know?
When you find out, your statement will take on new meaning. Until then, worry about the beam in your own eye....

'Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."' Mathew 19:21

Jesus is very clear about this. I think off all the poor families in my community who have trouble paying rent and can't plan for their retirement or to send their children to good school. It's sad that Mr Romney has so much money and could do so much good with it when Jesus is VERY clear about what he should do. It's not too late though for Mr Romney to be the kind of man that Jesus wants him to be and give everything he has to those who have nothing.

God bless.

This was directed to this individual and those like him who place rices before God, not as an inherent indictment of riches...
Dbeaux30 Wrote: Sep 02, 2012 8:48 AM
I have rarely seen anyone who places God higher and being rich lower than Ann and Mitt Romney.

How many homeless people do you have living with you? Have you opened your home to people in need?
I hope you are using a computer at the library, because you certainly shouldn't own one.
Do you have ANY savings? If so, you should be giving it to the poor.
Same with money you spend eating out, or eating anything but rice and beans.

Let Romney worry about the spec in his eye, you worry about the plank in yours.
BIGSKYER Wrote: Sep 02, 2012 11:39 AM
He is the kind of man Jesus would want him to be, and he doesn't boast or toot his own horn. Jesus was the only perfect person however, but Romney does his best to walk the straight and narrow path back to OUR heavenly FATHER
Floyd35 Wrote: Sep 02, 2012 1:10 PM
It is written none are good. No not one. That includes not only Mitt, but you, and I, and all others.Mitt has given huge sums of money to many charities and will continue to do so. To whom much is given....much is expected. He has lived up to that and more. If you are going to qoute the bible, then know it from cover to cover in its entirety. You have condemned him unjustly.

Again believersss, how much has this president donated to the poor?
I think it's fair to say nada, zilch, nothing.
More over, he CREATED more poor so they could vote for him and promising them food stamps.
How does Jesus feel about that? Answer me that because you seem to know Him so well.
Ann Romney said on Wednesday that she felt welcomed and energized when she stepped onto the stage here at the Republican National Convention to introduce her husband, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, to millions of Americans watching on television.

The most important reviews of the speech came moments later from her five sons and daughters-in-law and their 18 children, who greeted her with tears and hugs. As she detailed the night before, family came first.

“You know that kind of love and support that you get from your family? Well, it was that kind of reaction,” she...
