jessie-Plese explain which of Obama's new regs would have made any difference in Newtown? There are already reasonable regs. Felons, the mentally ill and minors are already prohibited from buying guns. Background checks are already required. Those background checks could undoubtedly be improved, but that doesn't require new regulation. We are already required to register the guns we buy. The best thing they could do in these schools to stop these whackos from targeting them is to take down the "Gun Free Zone" signs, and allow the teachers and administrators that are willing to take classes and then bring their guns to school.
