I disagree! The middle class (hate using this term) was having issues way before this. It started in the 90s when the idiots signed NAFTA. This is also the period when manufacturing job really stared to disappear. We became a service economy during that time and that's when the predictable happened in my opinion. This nation cannot thrive as a service economy but that's my opinion. On another note, I saw my income and purchasing power increase during Bush tenure. I have my issues with his presidency but he is/was miles better than what we currently have.
