But why send money and jobs to a communist dictatorship? There are plenty of free countries with low cost labor. We don't have to employ slave labor "It's good for most Americans when factory jobs are replaced by engineering and design jobs. " That's great unless you are a 60 year old man who just lost his job when the plant he had worked at all his life closed and moved overseas.

Lower the cost of doing business in the USA and many of those jobs will come back. Taxes and regulations all drive jobs out of the USA.

Government may serve the people, or government may force the people to serve it. How each issue is viewed by a majority or minority, depends primarily on the perspective of the individual, not some
grand judge who acts to insure fairness in opportunity and outcome for all. We need pro active environmental protection as we are killing ourselves and the planet with poisons. It's easy to deny if you feel great today, and impossible to deny if you have cancer tomorrow, or if you watch a science show that tells you 90% of all large fish are now dead. Being out of a job is terrible no matter what age a person is, but having worked in one field for a lifetime may make it harder to see opportunities
elsewhere. Most of us have many talents!

Amen, the EPA and the Green Morons are helping to destroy our country's economy......America use to be the "bread basket" of the world............then the Environmentalist decide a tiny fish was more important than raising crops in California.

The Olympics have gone smoothly despite -- gasp! -- America's team wearing clothing made in China at the opening ceremony.

"I'm so upset," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. "Take all the uniforms, put them in a big pile, and burn them. ... We have people in the textile industry who are desperate for jobs."

Here, Reid demonstrates economic cluelessness. It seems logical that Americans lose if American clothing is made overseas. But that's nonsense. First, it's no surprise the uniforms were made in China. Most clothing is. That's fine. It saves money. We invest the savings in other things,...
