Wow. I There's only so much one can address in townhall's tiny comment windows. Sexual promiscuity IS destructive to both sexes. I always believed that the dude who took pride in the number of women he "scored" with was an egotistical jerk who should be shown the door. Since girls are the ones who have the greatest to lose by an unintended pregnancy, it behooves THEM to show self restraint and demand that the guys they date do so as well. Today women who WANT to be involved in a loving relationship feel pressured into meaningless encounters. If they don't give in, the guy has an easy time finding someone who will.

A study entitled, “The Effect of Parental Involvement Laws on Youth Suicide” conducted from 1987 to 2003, found that a law requiring parental consent before a minor can have an abortion correlated with a 11 – 21 percent drop in suicides among 15-17-year-olds. The research comes from the Center for Disease Control Mortality Reports and concludes the results “are consistent with the hypothesis that parental involvement laws…serve to protect young females from depression and what have been termed ‘stressful life events.’”
