Tea Party at the Crossroads

The salient problem is the control of the media by leftwing zombies. If the Tea Party had enjoyed their support, Obamacare would have been defunded long ago. Where we are at is that a large segment of the population has succumbed to the long term and largely successful propaganda offensive of people whose sole purpose in life is furthering a lunatic creed. What this means, practically, is that ONLY if they are hurt in ways which are inescapably the result of the policies their party pursues, is ANY awakening possible. Obamacare has created that possibility. If the lies surrounding this awful law--the cynicism, and incompetence--are not sufficient to wake people up, I don't think anything will short of tanks in the street, and then it will likely be too late.

Who Speaks Now for the GOP?

I sure hope you're right. We have a compelling message, if we actually mean it. Obama got elected in no small measure because Republicans controlled Washington from 2000-2006, and did nothing but bleed money. We need to be prepared to make massive cuts in Defense, but we need in turn to be wiling to make massive cuts in the size of government. We don't even need to start with "entitlements", but rather with entire departments, starting with the Department of Homeland Security. Longer term, we do plainly need to repeat the approach of privatizing Social Security that worked so well in Chile, and we need to change how health insurance is ALLOWED to operate. I have detailed ideas on that, here: http://www.goodnessmovement.com/Page25.html
