7 Examples of People Who Are Not Victims

Although I agree with Mr. Hawkins' ideology, I don't llike his petty, nasty comments. His example #5 is especially egregious. "There are some women whose medical insurane doesn't pay for their contraception, you, know, just like men!" No - a woman's lack of contraception is not just like a man's, getting pregnant is a lot more life-changing for a woman than a man. And, it really isn't a logical statement that a woman who had so much sex that she couldn't pay for her birth control would have to be a professional prostitute. Most birth control is on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, some even three times a year basis rather than a per encounter basis.

I don't like your whiny tone. Grow up. Just the kind of person Hawkins was talking about - a "victim".

There is one kind that lasts for tive years.

It IS "just like men" A woman doesn't have to have sex if she doesn't want to bet pregnant. Sex is designed for procreation, and if you want it for recreation, don't ask someone else to pay for your contraception!

Sandra Fluke said she was paying $3000 per year for contraception. Let's look at that figure. Assuming a condom costs $2, that's 1500 condoms to make $3000. 1500 condoms/52 weeks per year is nearly 29 condoms per week. If you're woman using 29 condoms per week, you're either a prostitute or a s/ut. There is no doubt whatsoever about that. Who else has sex 29 times a week and still has time for anything else?

I have to agree with this. Certainly there's room in this country for unprofessional prostitutes.

Unlike, say, cancer treatments, severe heart conditions and other, very real, medical issues, for which very costly medication is the ONLY recourse, there is a very low-cost alternative for women to "costly" birth control. Sandra Fluke should try it, and I wholly disagree with your portrayal of Hawkins as the bad guy for pointing this out.

Get your birth control pills from Wal-Mart, only $8 a month... That's $96 per year, and I think you can probably afford that...

and you'll tell the same to the man who cannot keep it in his pants? It takes two, just in case you never had any sex education.

i find the rights hatred of sex and the wish to punish the act strange, of course that explains why so many republican men are caught in truckstop restrooms i suppose.

The average cost, per year, for a woman's birth control is $300. A pack of cigarettes cost $5, 6 pack of beer or bottle of wine $8, one meal at McDonalds $5. So why should I, as a tax payer pay for it?
No matter how unfairly you're treated specifically because you're a white male, a Christian, a conservative, or a Republican, very few people are going to accept the idea that you're a victim. That may be unfair, but on the whole, it's a good thing. America is already awash in people who falsely believe they're victims and it's not a pretty sight to see: the blaming, the whining, the mediocrity, the sea of jackasses who believe their horrific behavior is justified because they're "victims." It’s time they learned that they’re not victims in any real sense.
