I'm not sure how the word "equal" even applies in this context; however, the two acts can certainly be considered equivalent by the parties involved.

Simply stating that the arguments of others lack reason and logic doesn't not make their arguments irrational or illogical. That is something that must be demonstrated. Declaring that those with whom we disagree are mentally ill does not make them so. That, too, must be demonstrated.

I think that society flourishes when all human beings enjoy the same rights under the law. I'm also pretty sure that David and Alex don't need you to tell them why they went into battle.
