No.By Compassion I mean stop doing things that hurt people. Liberals suffer from the delusion that just because their intention is to help one group or another that they are not hurting another group. They don't understand that when you raise taxes to build a drug treatment center for people who engaged in "high risk" behavior using drugs, you are hurting a single mom making $25,000 a year as a waitress in a resturant because her taxes go up to pay for the treatment center. They don't understand that this raises the taxes of the two worker family trying to save enough to send their kids to college. The Liberal mind is just not capable of understanding complex issues.

The call to end affirmative action gained a new proponent this week -- and from an unlikely candidate. Gregory Rodriguez, a Los Angeles Times columnist and fellow at the progressive-leaning New America Foundation, wrote this week, "We need to find new, less divisive ways to fight inequality."

I couldn't agree more with Rodriguez's conclusion but not entirely with the analysis that leads him there. Rodriguez's opposition stems from his fear that white racial anxiety is rising and that affirmative action could lead to a destructive white backlash.
