All of our constitutional rights are God given, natural rights. They are not gifts to us to from our government to be snatched back at their discretion. No one can sign away or give away their rights. Of course, convicted criminals in prison lose their second amendment rights, their first amendment rights of freedom of assembly, etc., but this woman has been convicted of nothing, and even convicted felons cannot be deprived of their fifth amendment rights. Until Issa is elected God, he may not do so either.
The right to keep and bear arms is a natural God given right that is not "found" in the second amendment. Rather it is protected from encroachment by government by that amendment. Any right given by government can be taken by government. No government, federal, state or local can legally take that right away from us. It can only be taken by force, illegally. Please think about this, as sloppy use of language and thinking is one of the ways that liberals are winning these debates.
The states do not have discretion regarding the second amendment. It is not one of the powers enumerated to them. Those states that have laws interfering with the second amendment have simply gotten away with it, not by right, but by neglect of citizens to protect themselves. BTW, the right to keep and bear arms is a natural right, not one conferred by government, which has no legal power to give or withhold natural rights, be that government state or federal.

Why is it that when police confront a single criminal holed up in a house that they often send 20, 30 or more heavily armed police officers to the scene? Because people who are experienced with confronting very bad people well understand the concept of superior firepower in the successful solution of such confrontations. People who have no such experience, such as President Obama, should learn a lesson from them.

"Most food stampers are the dregs of society." How utterly satisfying it must be to be so certain about the moral and spiritual condition of so many people you don't know and will never meet. A person so superior and supernaturally omniscient as yourself should be running the world, not wasting yourself in your mom's basement. Why not come out and run in the clean sunshine as our next presidentiial candidate? After all, with your great knowledge, comes great responsibility.
If there is no respect in the White House for the second amendment of the Constitution, why should there be any respect for the first amendment?
Sadly, despite your satire disclaimer, the MSM and the Democrats will have this written up in the textbooks as history in a few years.
"A law mandating the mere registration of all guns...no more objectionable than...a permit for a parade"...Really? Ask "subjects" of the UK, Canada and Australia how unobjectionable registration is, now that their guns have been confiscated. Mr. Chapman, we are citizens, not subjects, and we also understand just how reasonable the wolf can seem to be, while he is clothed in sheepskin.

While he is prolific at declaring what he believes we can do without, let us not forget what he has graciously declared that we can live WITH, namely chronic pain. How did anyone in New York ever know how to live their lives before he came along?
