Dennis Miller said it best: "what chick wants to be in the stall next to a lacrosse player takin' a groaner..."

curses, that darn 'constitution' thingy again... gotta' get rid of that somehow. Maybe a large, mainstream propaganda corps (no, not 'corpse') that'll convince people it doesn't really mean what it says...hmm

30% of the country is still in the neighborhood of 100 million people. If just 3% of those socialists decide they're not going down without a fight, that's 3 million looting, screaming thugs out there, pushing against a 'lawless, partisan, activist' court. What do you think will happen? I can hear it now - 'back down, back down, let the oppressed have their way...'.
I challenge you to read J. Christian Adams book Injustice. The FOIA requests these guys are making are routinely blown off or delayed by the Dept of Injustice. Rule of law?? HAH! These guys pride themselves in NOT playing by the rules. We're playing golf, they're dogfighting...my guess is that they're shaking their heads and chuckling to themselves
No, the 'green movement' (more like a bowel movement) is meant to alter where the wealth goes. Instead of big oil producers it goes to handpicked mfrs of green technology, pushers of green propaganda, and those who manage to write the laws that push green tech and outlaw fossil fuels. It is a redistribution scheme plain and simple, and what happens to us will be very volatile initially, but they probably think it will all stabilize in the end. What I mean to say is they don't really give a rats behind, they know we'll just continue to chew our grass like the good sheep we are.
yes, that and $1.50 will buy you a tall brewed at Starbucks. Sorry to be cheeky but patting ourselves on the back while this battle rages still means we lose the battle. Due to our complacency and inaction we may have already lost the war anyway. But at least we all know that we're really nice people.
You can look at our country today and say McCarthy was wrong? You're a fool. Look at the progressive caucus, their ideals, "principles" etc...if you're honest with yourself (and you're not a hateful lib yourself) you'll see he's right. You're either a fool, naive, or indulging in willing suspension of disbelief.
Granted that spiking ammunition prices would be the 'smarter' route for him, but when has he let a dumb idea get in the way of trampling on the constitution? My money is on a manufactured crisis, spun and echoed in the media until it gets traction from the more sheep-like among us. He has the media propaganda corps (which he would pronounce 'corpse') to do the heavy lifting. Once a few more people are convinced of how evil firearms are (and I'm guessing at least 40% of the country is there now anyway), the restrictions will start. Maybe 'just' registration at first, then snowballing that into more extreme actions over time, so it doesn't seem so extreme all at once. Read Matt Bracken's book 'Enemies Foreign and Domestic.
