Oops, though you may be right, I was responding to 88wrenchman in that Vampire's comment proved that liberals believe conservatives are evil.
Great catch! Vampire just made Hawkin's point, didn't he.
Good point. I wondered also about the provision Obama mentioned to give our women the same rights to pursue their dreams if they have children, as men do. Fathers, if the mothers do NOT abort, are required by law to provide for their children. It seems men and women already have the same right to pursue dreams. Both parents are expected by the law to provide for their children's wellbeing and future, which requires selflessness from both. But, fathers have no rights to have a child if the mother decides to abort. Not exactly "equal rights".
You're using the condition of a LEGAL abortion clinic to try to demonstrate what ILLEGAL abortions look like. The situation of Gosnel's clinic was made possible BECAUSE of Roe v. Wade. Yours is not a logical argument.

It's not strange at all. It's an attempt to silence the opposition.

Well put. Americans need to start thinking objectively, instead of making decisions based on emotions evoked by the latest "compelling tale of woe".

We also need to define what determines "must have". Different people/groups may have different ideas on what constitutes "must have".

Thanks Ms Kelly. I'm sure you're right about dodging sales taxes already. I was just addressing Ray's contention that the national sales tax would prevent that. Maybe I misunderstood him. I understand your point about consumer control. It makes sense. However, the plan I've read concerning the Fair Tax is a little complicated (including a PREbate, which bothers me anyway). I'm not sure I like complicated tax codes. Don't we already have that? The flat tax, though a production tax, would (I think) still address the issue of stifling production through taxation, because everyone would know what PERCENTAGE of their production would be taxed, so there would be no uncertainty. There would be no moving to another tax bracket. I like...
