So people agree with me about Bill Maher. Clarity of thought is a wonderful thing, and he has it. But if he imagines that What we mean when we use the word "God" is a finite object of the mind with a form, like a long beard and shocking white hair, then of course he would be an atheist and should be an atheist. Good for him for being an atheist if that is what he thinks we mean. What I mean when I use the word "God" is the Infinite Ocean of Being, Consciousness, Divinity, Love, etc. And since a mind, however clear, cannot grasp that, his atheism becomes pointless. In fact, his clarity of mind and his consciousness are a dim reflection of God, howsoever much he doesn't realize this.

I like Bill Maher. I enjoy his take on Islam. I enjoy his take on all organized religions; everyone needs some feedback now and then. His take on God is most unfortunate, for him and anyone who believes him. And I am not all that crazy about his liberalism. But I like his wit and clarity of thought. And I love to provoke comments.
