The real story here is the Democrats played along with him. They circled the wagons to make excuses for his deranged conduct. Obama's media circled the wagons to play situation ethics and bashed the conservatives and played their justification game by dredging up conservative bad conduct without noting the conservatives dump their chumps ASAP . EVEN Nixon was dumped before he was impeached . Conservatives to not try to rehabilitate their losers or rationalize for them .

You could just as well flip the argument the other way: Republicans throw their own under the bus at the slightest hint of trouble while Democrats show some spine. As a result, the Democrats get greater loyalty from their members. Democrat after Democrat in the House fell on their swords to pass Obamacare. Yet with the GOP, the slightest bit of press criticism ('nuclear option', 'shutting down' the government, etc), you see GOP politicians get weak-kneed and start forming Gang-Of-Stupidity coalitions.

Last week, we learned Weiner carried on sexual online relationships with multiple women well after his resignation under the name "Carlos Danger." At that point, Weiner said there weren't "dozens and dozens of women" but probably 6... or 8... or something. Now, Weiner can't say whether he's still engaged in this type of...
