Don't refer to anyone challenging an overly fat and wasteful defense budget as "leftist idiot". I have been republican 44 years, have served 6 years in army during vietnam, a proud veteran ever sincem regardless, The defense budget is ASSININE and has NOTHING to do with nation's defense. It is nothing but investment economy for corrupt politicians and government leaches. We were getting by fine on $200 billion in 2000, now we've spent $1.1 trillion in 2011 on defense, what have we gotten hundreds of billions of waste. It's not about screwing military personnel either, they cost less than $100 billion per year. KILL the corrupt military industrial complex, nothing but slush fund for lobbyists and politicians.
