Geologists have uncovered evidence of periodic ice ages going back 2.3 billion years.

Of course, they presume ice ages go back even further, but the evidence has been erased over time.

So; if the earth has regularly cooled into ice ages and then warmed to come out of ice ages over its entire known history, how is it that Al Gore and James Hansen knows that THIS TIME the warming is man-made and will devastate the planet?

How do they explain the previous cycles of warming and cooling?

I find it rather odd that Mr. Thomas states that "Senator Kennedy's list of sins are well known...", and then goes on to mention sexual promiscuity and that he tried to help the Soviets get rid of Ronald Reagan.

No mention of Chappaquiddick, no mention of Marie Jo Kopechne, no mention of serial cheating at Harvard while an undergraduate, no mention of his treatment of Robert Bork, his defaming of George W. Bush.

Character defines what we do when nobody is watching and Edward Kennedy was a thoroughly bad character.

Mr. Thomas may have been seduced by a con man's charm, but I find his excuses for his falling under Edward Kennedy's spell rather unpersuasive.

Ummm...

Debra, I think you're missing something.

These women were CEOs of large public corporations in the heart of silicon valley.

Politics would have been a major distraction from their roles as CEOs, and if it had been known that they were Republicans, it would have had a detrimental effect on the companies they led.

Remember, to liberals politics isn't part of their lives; it runs their lives.
