Some media pundits see in the growing proportion of non-white groups in the population a growing opposition to the Republican Party that will sooner or later make it virtually impossible for Republicans to win presidential elections or even to control either house of Congress. That is what collectivism is, fear of growing up and not having a safety net. It is not about compassion or love or good nature or anything else but gut wrenching fear that you might have to make it on your own. It is why today's version of liberals are the least charitable with their own money, but want big government Fabian socialism. Mommy and daddy know best how to handle all those adult things.
