Income is not the only deciding factor when it comes to elections. The 2012 elections have proved that. We are not living in Ronald Reagan world of 1980s. The values of the country have changed from conservatives beliefs to liberal beliefs. It wouldn't matter if a Republican ran base on your article because the MSM have a bigger influences on the people. The truth iof the matter s the 2012 elections was the deciding factor by the people as to the direction the country would go toward liberalism.

Do you consider this a good thing?
I certainly don't.
The people voted to become slaves to the federal government, whether they believe it or not.
I, for one, will remain a conservative, and will push the idea of personal responsibility.

You are a deceived liar!

No man is an island.

Wow! you've had your ham smoked a little too much! Collectivist much? It may be that no man is an island, but every man and woman is an individual, responsible for their own choices. I'll stand with Scrap Iron!

Psst, Crowley...
"No man is an island" is an excuse for mooching from others.
When you cannot carry your own weight and have to depend on others for your whole life,
"No man is an island" is his only excuse.

No job.
Broke and no money in the bank account.

Yes, grow a victory garden!

ranma2, when you were twelve years old, who did you depend on and who provided for you?

Think twice regarding dependency.
MudontheTires Wrote: Nov 14, 2012 2:30 AM
The ability to buy and otherwise pay ones own way has nothing to do with collectivism you progs want to force on America.
MudontheTires Wrote: Nov 14, 2012 2:31 AM
Think twice regarding dependency.

Think twice regarding collectivism. You progs who can't see past "Oh good, someone is going to fianlly stick it to those evil rich people" are fools if you don't think your messiah can't and won't take from you as well.

Your parents who are the ones who should be providing for you since they made you!

I wonder what all those Coal Industry people think about Obama making good on his promise to destroy them. It's quite clear that more and more people vote AGAINST their own interests--because they are so propagandized they clap while Obama serves the Kool Aid. Tragic.

Good job finally admitting you have the mentality of a twelve year old. It is a first step to growing up.

That is what collectivism is, fear of growing up and not having a safety net. It is not about compassion or love or good nature or anything else but gut wrenching fear that you might have to make it on your own. It is why today's version of liberals are the least charitable with their own money, but want big government Fabian socialism. Mommy and daddy know best how to handle all those adult things.

I'm going to relate a little secret about myself.
I have fallen on hard times.
I was fortunate enough to have family willing to help me.
Even though I could qualify for all sorts of government assistance programs (food stamps, medicaid) I choose not to.
There are a few strings attached to my family's help, but they are flexible, and generous when necessary.
The LAST group one should seek help from are the feds.

I'm pretty sure that ramma is no longer 12 years old. You, on the other hand, I'm not quite sure about.

Some media pundits see in the growing proportion of non-white groups in the population a growing opposition to the Republican Party that will sooner or later make it virtually impossible for Republicans to win presidential elections or even to control either house of Congress. But is demography destiny?

Conventional wisdom in the Republican establishment is that what the GOP needs to do, in order to win black votes or Hispanic votes, is to craft policies specifically targeting these groups. In other words, Republicans need to become more like Democrats.

Whether in a racial context or in other contexts, the...
