TED: The SCOTUS long ago ruled that the police have no obligation to protect citizens from crime. Their job is to gather evidence, interview witnesses and deliver the little gold toothed retard that shot you in the face to a Liberal Judge, who will give every consideration to his tender age, the amount of Thunderbird drank or crack smoked by BabyMama and the belief in the goodness of his soul. He might be sentenced to 15 to 25, but the average time served for a 'life' sentence in this country is 7 1/2 years.

It's all too predictable. A day after a gunman killed six people and wounded 18 others at Northern Illinois University, The New York Times criticized the U.S. Interior Department for preparing to rethink its ban on guns in national parks.

The editorial board wants "the 51 senators who like the thought of guns in the parks -- and everywhere else, it seems -- to realize that the innocence of Americans is better protected by carefully controlling guns than it is by arming everyone to the teeth."
