20 Obvious Truths That Will Shock Liberals

How sad. The simple truth is that most bad legislation (fugitive slave act, SS act, Jim Crow, etc.) was introduced and carried by the Democrat party. This is just plain simple fact that any 5th grader can look up. (I actually learned this in 5th grade from Mrs. Jenkins at PS3 in the Panama Canal Zone). Of course the Republicans have their fair share of crappy laws; but for pure intrusiveness and support of "acts of suppression", the Democrats are clearly in the lead. I am a conservative who believes in limited government; I will support the candidate who supports my beliefs.

Uh, D_niles, Actually, the Republican party was started in 1856, with conservative, abolitionist, evangelical Christians being a primary component, and has an unbroken lineage since then. They have never been, and are not now, called Democrats. The Democrat party was founded in 1828, by a slaveholder nemed Andrew Jackson, and has an unbroken lineage since then. So, they we were never, and are not now, Republicans.

Please study your history a little better before you make demonstrably ludicrous statements.

1) The Founding Fathers were generally religious, gun-toting small government fanatics who were so far to the Right that they'd make Ann Coulter look like Jimmy Carter.

2) The greatest evil this country has ever committed isn't slavery; it's killing more than 50 million innocent children via abortion.

3) Conservatives are much more compassionate than liberals and all you have to do to prove it is look at all the studies showing that conservatives give more of their money to charity than liberals do.

4) When the Founding Fathers were actually around, there were official state religions and the...
