Diana West is a national treasure. Her book _The Death of the Grown-Up_ is a must-read.

THE YEAR’S TOP LESSON: ELECTIONS MATTER

I'm afraid though that the election of moderate McCain would have effectively put an end to conservatism that Obama has paradoxically revivified.

Bush almost killed off conservatism. Billions to Africa for AIDS. Where's that authorization in the Constitution?

If he had campaigned as a conservative, more than nominating a wonderful VP, he would have been far more competitive.

Excellent editorial. I love the Rat Pack example. Mr. Bialosky makes a handful of wise, insight observations. This is a keeper.

Mr. Novak, you are the best.

I hope this message finds you well, as active as can be, and mentally alert.

Time has proved you absolutely right about your "New Journalism" you write about in your magnificent autobiography (beginning p. 221).

Some day I wonder if we'll learn anything more about Mr. Sullivan's "accidental" death--if there is anything else to learn.
It's absolutely the case the Leftism is a religion, primarily as I learned from the late Catholic Erik Ritter von Kuehnelt-Leddihn, for its belief in the equality of humans. I too believe in the legal equality, but one has to scoff at mental, physical, and moral equality between people. It's simply not the case.

And leftist Catholics make abortion an insignificant feature of modern-day life, substituting almost anything else in its absence. And a conspicuous one it is, too.
They've controlled education, K-college, the media (except for talk radio), and Hollywood.

The chickens are indeed coming home to roost.

Plus, all these hard-working, culturally conservatives are very susceptible to egalitarian talk of the left. I don't understand why.

But we're inching our way to a failed state closer each day. Just wait until the entitlements crash in twenty years.
Government grows regardless of Constitutional restraints in a way best understood in James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock's Public Choice economics.

Great job, Mr. Medved.

The bigger the government the smaller the men's chests.

Stop making so much sense, Mr. Buchanan. It is depressing me.
The fourth paragraph is undiluted truth. Great job, Mr. Prager!

Why Left Talks about "White" Tea Parties

The palpable, sometimes openly declared, disappointment that the attempted bombing in NYC was not perpetrated by a white male, as had been electronically broadcast from the rooftops, neatly fits in on the superb thesis of this op-ed.
