Hubby & I are Romney Poll Watchers here in OHio. We are not permitted to say anything about any candidate, wear any political clothing, or not be in compliance with any State laws. Just like Cook County circa 1960. And my kids growing up didn't believe me! I emailed them this story.

I had a very interesting experience 2 yrs. ago. We had a local church hosting a B.O.fundraising dinnert. The local Dem. Party had contracted, i.e. PAID for the facilities. Essentially, as I saw it, a tax-excempt entity was "endorsing" a candidate by doing this. There were plenty of other, non-profit spaces they could have rented that weren't religious in nature. So, I wrote a letter to the local newspaper & I too got to go up on the cross with Jesus. My arguement was that this could be misconstrued as an "endorsement" of one candidate over another & might affect their non-profit status. This was before some of the incredible things that have happened in this administration. Wonder if I'd write again how many would see it my way today.
Actually Birdman, what happens when animal populations overbreed the food supply, the population "crashes" back into a normal animal/environment balance. While not a nutritionist, I'm a retired nurse & believe me, getting kids to eat healthy is a chore most of the time. Mine were't too bad & I must have done a fairly good job as they are adults of a normal wt. But I didn't fill my home with junk food to the exclusion of nutritional eats. "All things in moderation" is a saying they grew up with. Kids spend far more time per day outside of the school; it's then that the damage is done & the junk food is consumed in often huge quantities. BTW, my kids didn't like what the school prepared most of the time, so I packed for them.
