The author suggests that transgendered people go to a psychiatrist to get cured. But, the "cure" according to the APA is alignment of body to the mind which may involve surgical transformation.

I'm sure the author would be able to help the poor, miserable, damaged transgendered person select the psychiatrists that would propose such promising "cures" like shock therapy. Unfortunately, those cures were inflicted upon many, many people with no positive effect.

This forum deserves more well-informed and literate advocates of hate.

Ideas have consequences. That is why it is sometimes difficult to understand how bad ideas can survive, and even thrive, in certain environments. One really bad idea that is thriving in higher education is the so-called trans-gendered rights movement.
