Bush '41 screwed himself out a re-election when he made the promise. "Read my lips... NO NEW TAXES!", then went on to sign on to one of the largest tax increases in many years.

How dumb can you get?

p.s. I am a Reagan conservative.

No punch line ... just a straight-forward question.

However, if you wish to be the punch line, or the brunt of a joke ... suit yourself!

You wrote ... "Molecule-by-molecule, water vapor is a more potent absorber of infrared."

Actually, infrared a form of electromagnetic energy (a form of invisible light) like other forms of light is absorbed by black or other dark colored objects. Infrared is 'refracted' (bent) by water vapor, which acts like a prism.

Remember, light outside the 'visible' spectrum of 'Red' is 'infrared' light.

Remember the prism? Water vapor acts like a prism, the reason we see a 'rainbow' after a storm!

"How is Carol Browner, a lawyer who majored in English, qualified to judge the scientific validity of the AGW hypothesis?"

Here's one for you ... How is Al Gore, a lawyer who took a science class one quarter while in college, qualified to be an expert in Earth Sciences?
Forget about Methane ... it's also a "HydroCarbon" (CH4). It is the major component in 'Natural' gas ... like what you get when you phart!

For you science freaks, the formula is -- CH4 + O6 = 4(H2O) + CO2!

Oh well, sometimes it seems you simply can't win for losin'.

Later!

"Scratching my head
Exactly why is it that the Jews in the US support the Democrats, who are rapidly developing the same anti-semitic bias that the USSR and NAZIs had?"

"(As I recall, Germany's Jews also supported Hitler in his earliest years. Are Jews suicidal?)"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As a Messianic Jew I've had to ask that same question more than a few times!
Get your heads out of the sand, people! The Democrats will do ANYTHING to win favor with the "Palestinians", including selling us "down the river". The Democrats are not our friends ,,, the Democrats are our enemies! Just what kind of...
Finally, the degree to which an area's temperature can vary (as any meteorologist knows) can depend on the amount of (or lack of) clouds within a certain area. Clouds tend to hold the warm air close to the ground rather than allowing it to rise high into the atmosphere.
As I said from the beginning, I'm a meteorologist, and like any meteorologist I also have a degree in statistics (you just can't be a good meteorologist without a degree in statistics!) After all, how will I know what to do with all those numbers that get collected daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually ... you get the idea. We meteorologist look for trends which could affect both the present and the future.
As you know, numbers can be fudged,...
"The greenhouse effect
is real, and it's a good thing, otherwise the dark half of the planet would freeze solid every night."
You seem to forget that every night, portions of the earth every night experience drastic temperatures. Deserts in Africa and America, especially Death Valley (which can see temps reach 120 deg.F during the day and fall to near freezing at night.)
As any geologist knows, certain soil types tend to either absorb and retain heat at night, while others do not and, instead, radiate their heat as the sun sets, allowing the air to reach near-freezing conditions.
There is...
First, there is not nor has there ever been a"Palestine". Bear qith me and I will attempt to expound a little Middle East history.
Around 70 A.D., the Romans expelled the Jewish from the land in which they had lived as a people for 3,000 years. Latin (of which I have 3 years under my belt) has no combination of consonants that would produce an F sound Like the Greek Consonant "Phi" As the Romans removed the Jews from the land that had been theirs for 3,000 years, the Romans, as a final insult, changed the name to Palestinium, hence, Palestine.
By the beginning of the 20th Century the Jewish people had returned in number. When...
