Jerry..you need to do some deep research on the La Raza web site to see the blueprint the hispanics want for the future of the U.S. An amnesty would destroy the fragile economy we have. Adding millions more takers on the Obamacare, adding millionns more to the welfare rolls who have never contributed to social security. And how can you justify giving legal access in our workforce when we have twenty-three million unemployed/underemployed Americans? And you are living in la la land if you think the majority will vote republican in the future. Remember, it was President Reagan who gave the last amnesty.

Since the Romney/Ryan ticket’s loss last Tuesday, the Republican Party has been going through a period of soul searching.  Much of that is useless propaganda about how the party needs to move to the ‘center’ (whatever that is) on its tax-cutting growth agenda.

But some of it is a genuinely helpful re-examination of the GOP’s relationship with immigrants and immigrant voter groups. This is a helpful but small step in the right direction.
