Bless you! I agree whole heartedly. The government should not have to do what is part of the churche's commission in this country. And if the Church did do it's part with the widow and orphan, our country would be much better off. THat said, it has come to the point that they have "worked themselves out of a job" as more and more laws forbid them to get involved.
I believe that you have it correct.
Well, since my Bible says that it is wrong to take an oath...and especially wrong to invoke God as your co-taker. It also says "let your yea be yea and your ney be ney." No oath needed, if you are an honest man...and no oath binding if you aren't! I can't get too upset about it. Other than the fact that the oath will still be extant. Instead, do you promise? should be sufficient.

We did [have a constitution]...until people stopped thinking. I don't believe that Snowden is a "traitor", I think he's a hero too! He's had to hole up in Russia because he told the truth about OUR government. Doesn't mean that he "gave away secrets"... at least not any secrets that are sacrosanct. Merely that our government is pretty much on a par with all the other totalitarian regimes of the world. I personally love it when Putin gives Obama hell. Even if I'm not a huge Putin fan.

And the point not spoken of is: when they get double what they earn now...and prices for things go up across the board...they will see no real increase in their buying power and those who already have a "living wage" who do not see a corresponding increase in salary, will see their buying power eroded.
Incredulous2, this is pretty much the best idea I've heard yet. The part about waiting to become a lobbyist is something I've never thought of before! Great idea.
