Republican Rick Perry told Fox News's Chris Wallace that if he's elected President, one of his priorities will be a constitutional amendment "allowing our children to pray in school." What a pile of disingenuous rubbish. It's utterly false that children are banned from praying in public schools; nobody stops children from praying on their own time. They simply are not required to pray - but make no mistake, forcing all children to recite Christian prayers is exactly what Rick Perry wants. This is American theocracy in the making, peoples. And Rick Perry is not alone; the Republican Party is totally in thrall to this kind of Dark Ages thinking.
A conservative says, "liberals invoke God, charity, and the teachings of Jesus in an attempt to further their agenda, fail to recognize the difference between individual responsibility and the proper role of government and try to merge the two and have the government act as individuals and/or churches." Conservatives implemented their version of socialism with their 'Faith Based Initiatives.' Just where in the U.S. Constitution does it allow for taxpayers' monies to be redistributed to religious organizations?
Best way to get more people paying income tax is to get rid of exemptions for children, child tax credit, additional child tax credit and dependent care expenses other wise you are a social engineer. ....matter of national security? Hah!
Is looks like conservatives will be duped by the Republican party all over again! Republicans say they are now against crony capitalism. But........are not farm subsidies a form of crony socialism?
Didn't the Republican party take over health care when they passed Medicare Prescription in 2003? A huge goob-mint teat suck for contributors to the Republican party? Hence.....crony capitalism?

George Bush was a Republican 'hawk.' These hawks do not believe that the home front should be asked to sacrifice in a time of war. Instead, they urge people to go shopping. These 'hawks' look out for numero uno in a time of war (The War on Terror). For example, they increased pork barrel projects from 3,000 to 14,000 per year. These projects went to their friends. These 'hawks' also increased corporate welfare in a time of war. They also believe that the only way the US citizenry can pay for a war is by implementing a tax cut and dumping the entire cost of the war onto the national credit card. This actually harms national security in the long term.
Here's how Republicans obfuscate their desire to sell tickets into the entry to the Kingdom of God, "The standard reason for post mortum baptism is due to relations requesting the ritual." These Republicans prostitute God and are a disgrace to the New Covenant that Jesus made with humanity upon his death on the cross.
Mormons do proxy baptism because they believe that certain sacred sacraments, such as baptism, are required to enter the kingdom of heaven and that a just God will give everyone who ever lived a fair opportunity to receive them, whether in this life or the next. Beginning in 1995, Jewish organizations complained about proxy baptisms of Holocaust victims. The Church of Latter Day Saints has removed 260,000 names of victims submitted to its International Genealogical Index. Hey, "Heaven is for sale" could be Mitt Romney's campaign slogan; fits with Republican values of today.
"Obama's mother posthumously baptized into Latter Day Saints Church" from the Salt Lake Tribune; http://www.sltrib.com/faith/ci_12301237 "The xLDS Church is walking a fine line when the mother of our very special president has been posthumously baptized and endowed in a Utah temple," she said. "It sends out the message that the religion she chose while she was alive was not good enough. And that spills onto her son, who is our president."
