The short half life of carbon 14 makes it unreliable for anything beyond 20,000 years.

Those too ignorant to understand the horrors of war will not become enlightened by photogtraphs. There is enough carnage on the web for those that care to look without having to go against the wishes of the parents of a warrior who died for his country.

A speech innocuous to some, too much "I" for my taste. Our dear president seems to believe if you don't blow your own horn, someone else is likely to use it for a urinal. Kind of reminds me of football players and their prima donna struts after doing what they get paid to do.
fighting for what he believes in, and it is heart wrenching that his family had to relive this while the AP trumpets it is necessary to show the evils of war.
Ok, then how about showing photos of the innocents that are slaughtered daily for the convenience of others. How about exposing the evils of abortion?

Too many parents, politicians and well meaning individuals want to insulate their children from the wonderful process of learning through exploring, and evidently, getting hurt. Sometimes physically, later emotionally, but without hurt, the growth that comes through pain is diminished. Reminds of the fellow in the welding shop who picked up a piece of metal, only to drop it very quickly. The welder's question, "Hot?" was answered with "nope, it doesn't take me long to look at a piece of scrap metal".

Kimbery, While i do not agree with all of his explanations, check out Lee Stobel's books. He started out as a non believer as a new paper reporter in Chicago. He was going to disprove his wife's new found religion but what (who) he found changed him. Check out his books, A case for Christ, A case for Faith, A case for Creation, etc.
On another note, the animosity expressed by Christians (?) on so many of these sites can be truly disheartening

Ice core drilling in the fast ice off Australia's Davis Station in East Antarctica by the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Co-Operative Research Center shows that last year, the ice had a maximum thickness of 1.89m, its densest in 10 years.

Maybe this news quote could make both sides happy....tha caps are getting smaller, but the ice is getting thicker

Written by 40 different men on 3 continents in 3 languages over a period of 1500 years with a consistency that cannot be matched by any other collection of literary works in history.
Do a little research on the Dead Sea scrolls and their verification of scriptures that had originally been based on manuscripts hundreds of years more recent than the scrolls. But here i am, along with many others, trying to make the pig sing. Hopefully it will not be a waste of time for all.

Abort Abortion

There are medical studies that link abortion to breast cancer (physiciansforlife.org) A bit of irony that the freedom of choice comes with a price tag of which so many are unaware
