11. Because you don't pull out of a stall by hitting the brakes, you have to increase the power. It feels counter-intuitive, but it isn't. This is why pilots are told not to trust their instincts but to trust their training. 12. We have no idea what God thinks about marriage, or even if he thinks about the funny things these monkeys do on an insignificant rock in a quiet corner of a fairly mundane galaxy. He's probably got other stuff to do. 13. No. But lets tackle the 95% earned by the top 25% of tax payers and then move on to the smaller problem. 14. You shouldn't. But I would like to see you point to a Democratic platform that supports that in the way you have described it, rather than just protecting individuals from accidents

6. We are pro-choice. We also think people should have the choice about whether to live in a country where they are more or less likely to be shot dead. 7. Corporations aren't all awful and greedy. Stop mis-characterising legitimate disagreements. 8. Deficits are going up because less tax revenue is coming in. Castrating the economy's largest customer when the economy is trying to grow again won't help. 9. Republicans have more money 10. The day after a Republican gets elected President

1. Evil is evil 2. No. Just because you believe in granting somebody a small amount of something doesn't imply you believe in granting them something ad absurdum 3. We don't say character doesn't matter. We just don't limit 'character' to telling women what to do 4. Tax-free up to $25k. 80% $25k-$50k. 50% $50k-$250k 70% $250k+ Majority of Americans would pay ~15% tax; but rich don't agree 5. Details please to support 'time and time again' America noticably richer that 1912 when income tax introduced

But why are you equating liberalism with Marxism? Its like saying that Bob Dole Republicans are Nazis. Surely you can see that their is a lot of clear (red) water between the two. The one thing that liberals emphasize is freedom, which is something that conservatives say they like too. The only difference is that liberals believe freedom is something you have to work on, you can't just all retreat to the hills and define freedom as solely the freedom to be left alone. Sometimes you have to agree on basic rules so that everybody benefits.
@magnetar It's even worse than you think. We don't want to run you. We are not actually concerned about you one way or another. Just please try not to take the rest of us down with your nihilism=liberty schtick, some of the rest of us are trying to live on this planet too. @PAul4132 Thank you for your more reasoned thoughts. I am not suggesting that all conservatives have a problem with all of those passages, just that some of them do. And that conservatives say repeatedly that all liberals hate the constitution, when usually it is only one hideously destructive amendment that we come even close to agreeing on removing (and of liberals sell out on that one too.)
Why does nobody ever use any facts on this site? Are they banned for conservatives? Make an argument, back it up with something. I have given you 14 bits of the constitution that conservatives regularly have problems with - you give me Woodrow Wilson who nobody was talking about in the first place. It would take 10 minutes looking through Fox News archives to find a conservative arguing against each of those 14 principles, and yet you think that chanting, Mao-like, that 'Conservatives Believe in the Constitution' makes it so. Conservatives don't want to follow the Constitution, they hate the Constitution. Sticking up for the fifth amendment and pretending that Obama was born in Kenya is not the same thing as honoring the Constitution.
Why do conservatives keep saying that they love the constitution so much, and that liberals hate it? At last count, I noted that conservatives have a problem with: Article 1 Section 8 (Powers of Congress); A1S9 (Limits on Congress); A1S10 (Limits on States); A3S2 (Jury Trial); Artice 6 (Supremacy); Amend 1 (Free Speech); Amend 4 (Search and Seizure); Amend 5 (Due Process); Amend 6 (Fair Trial); Amend 8 (Cruel and Unusual Punishment); Amend 13 (Slavery); Amend 14 (Citizenship Rights); Amend 15 (Voting Rights); Amend 16 (Income Tax) Liberals, by and large, only want to get rid of the second amendment (Right of angry white men to shoot other people in the face) Why do conservatives hate the Constitution so much?

'Three hours' comes from line 12 (at least as it opens in my browser). Major, as Thomas Jefferson said 'If only men were angels...' The problem is that not everyone who carries a weapon is as cool and rational as I am sure you are. As the persistence of America near the top of gun death lists shows, not everyone is as rational. Your responsibility as a gun owner is unfortunately cancelled out many times over by a small minority who use the free availability of weapons for their own nefarious ends. And no, you can't be forced - but only if you happen to be carrying your weapon at the time you need it and the criminal doesn't take advantage of the element of surprise. Thank you for your service.
