You quoted me wrong, of course. I did not say your party squandered a 1.2 trillion dollar "surplus". In fact, you party took a surplus and turned it into a 1.2 trillion dollar DEFICIT. Thanks to tax cuts to the wealthy that were not funded and the two wars, your party is mostly responsible for the death of our economy in 2008.

You are no doubt an 'historian' of rewritten history.

Imagine if the Wichita court system got 'all Republican' on Scott Roeder for his terrorist act against doctors, killing Dr. Tiller in cold blood --

Apparently, it depends on the brand of terrorism when Republicans look at the rule of law and the American justice system.

And it depends on the political fortitude of the leadership in NYC v Wichita as well
You need a tutor, Bea. Bush DEBT was 8 trillion. Bush DEFICIT went from a surplus to 1.2 trillion.

What you're arguing (or trying mightily with teabags as sources) is comparing apples to oranges, or teabags to fact.
Semantics - that's the basis of your argument on the 2000 surplus? That's a pretty lame way to justify (or whatever it is you're doing) Bush dumping us into a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit hole over the next eight years while running up our debt to 8 trillion. But you are right on one thing: that's precisely why your party was ousted in 2006.

If you wanted to be truly HONEST, however, you'd also acknowledge the fact that Dems gained control by the barest of margins in an all-important, 60-vote Senate. And the Bush veto pen and the filibuster-happy Party of No kept the Bush economy trekking down the path of same old, same old.

So again, no, your Party of Fiscal Irresponsibility and Scaredy-cat tactics hasn't a single shred of...
Yeah, there are a number of you dishonest trolls, SJA. Too bad you never, ever seem to recognize yourselves!!

Well, at least it has numbers this year.

But, really, Republicans -- the Ryan answer to the 'budget' would cost $300 billion MORE than Obama's, all while doing that Republican schtick of gifting the wealthiest and privatizing Medicare.

Remember, the fiscal morons of the Bush era just don't seem to get that they are the minority party now FOR A REASON.

I see you are one of those helpless souls who can't take the truth about Palin. Grow up.
Ah, how squeaky the Republicans have become on debt and deficits! Not that long ago, this crowd was spending and rubberstamping really baaaad policies like drunken sailors!

Let's not forget why your party was sidelined, people. Some of us do have memories longer than the average GOP flea brain.
Unpin the teabags from your hat and get a clue, Bea. Obama went on national television Friday night and exposed your Party for the fiscal pissants that they are. One man against 140 partisan hacks - allegedly your brightest and shiniest partisan hacks - and Obama exposed them as empty, whiny, ignorant obstructionists and rightly marginalized buffoons. That must've hurt, Bea. And to top it off, your shills at Fixed News couldn't take the heat either and stopped broadcasting the political bloodletting like the partisan cowards we always knew FNC to be.
Of course, the headline of this post reads one thing, and then embedded further into the post is the contradiction. And funnily enough, Allyson calls out CNN for 'changing' the wording from "debt" to "deficit" - something at THEY had the good character to do. Allyson? Not so much.....
