Awesome article! I was looking for a "fresh way" to view these debacles called "debates" (attempts at overthrow/rout)". This IS the outlook I needed to see a bit more clearly. All we need is the wooden clubs and the loin cloth and tribal fire. Thanks for helping me get "basic". Dennis
I am a former teacher and professor who taught teachers. Teachers are like everyone else - some very smart - and some just smart - and some very UN-smart. Add to that formula the horrible mixing of classes full of all the above - in one room. You have our public school system. (further add into the equation more than a few chemically "dumbed-out" - and there is little to no learning actually taking place. Many teachers have retreated into that "safe place" inside the canyons of their minds. They would rather many students were already in prisons or, at least, not in the classroom. http://dennishooker.com (ask for any of my pdfs at no cost)
I'll answer my own question: From a Google Search - "Principles of Socialism True socialists advocate a completely classless society, where the government controls all means of production and distribution of goods. Socialists believe this control is necessary to eliminate competition among the people and put everyone on a level playing field. Socialism is also characterized by the absence of private property. The idea is that if everyone works, everyone will reap the same benefits and prosper equally. Therefore, everyone receives equal earnings, medical care and other necessities. Socialism is difficult to define because it has so many incarnations. One of the things socialists agree on is that capitalism causes oppression.
I am sincere and caring in this question! What is "socialistic principles"? Can you give me examples, please. I am a writer of many, many school books (years ago). They were "socratic-type" (leading questions, not questions with definite answers). I always felt they led the students into discovering themselves - AND thus, their role(s) in the world. How does this differ from the political term - "socialsitic principles"? (Anybody?) Dennis Hooker http://dennishooker.com

It's begun! My doc finally found a pill that brought my blood pressure down to normal - an essential because of blood clot balanced next to my brain. Last week my Medicare Rx insurance company notified the pharmacist (not even letting me know!) that they were no longer paying for the Rx. This in not only scary - but VERY scary!
