No president before Hoover spent more federal funds to jump start the economy. The New Dealers themselves said that Hooverism was the New Deal in embryo. The boom in subprime minority loans started with the insane Clinton/Freddie/Fanny National Homeownership/Affordable Housing Initiative which generated 18 million bad loans that were buddled into all that toxic paper. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 64% of Likely U.S. Voters prefer a government with fewer services and lower taxes over one with more services and higher taxes. That's unchanged from last month and consistent with findings in regular surveys since late 2006. Just 25% prefer a government with more services....
