But in his statement on the shooting that night Obama showed little emotion and no tears, not one, not even faked.. If he didn't tear up then why would he do so now? Aren't murdered soldiers on a military base, many enroute to Afghanistan who'd be risking their lives in the defense of our freedoms, more deserving of tears than school kids whose lives are less valuable terrible though their deaths were? There were no tears then and there were none yesterday, and that's beacuse he had none to shed.

Dozens Dead in Connecticut School Shooting

A masked man dressed in black entered an elementary school today in Newtown, Connecticut and opened fire with two handguns, killing a reported 26 people, 18 children and 8 adults. The shooter is dead. Law enforcement is expected to hold a news conference shortly. We'll keep you updated.

UPDATE:

Sources told The Courant that there are at least 20 shooting victims. Many of the shootings took place in a kindergarten classroom, sources said.

One entire classroom is unaccounted for, sources said.

A person believed to be a shooter is dead....
