It was on the Ides of August last, a month named after Caesar's heir and the 240th anniversary of Napoleon's birth, that Obama backed away from the public option throwing the Left in turmoil. Whether Obamacare passes or not it has no future in America. If the bill passes the House and signed by Obama into law it will be his Battle of Ligne, Napoleon's last victory before he was defeated at Waterloo.

Today is the Ides of March. We remember all too well that Julius Caesar was warned of the dangers of this date (Julius Caesar, Act I; Scene 2 for those keeping score at home).

We are down to the end game on Health Care legislation. It won't come to the House floor on the Ides of March, but it won't miss by much.
